Innocence & Destruction: a love story
Film Showing & Community Ritual
Sun, April 24, 2022, 9:45 am - 12 pm pst on zoom
My intention is to make dance films that root our soul in our Earth body, arouse our imagination, and nourish the heart and eros of our human family. Innocence & Destruction is a love story between these two archetypes that live in each human.
There is a part of our humanity we don’t always see or let others see, a destructive dominant energy. Often we relate to this energy with fear when we sense it in ourselves and in others. This energy is often a source of division in our human family. Oh if I see it in you, you are no longer welcome here. Oh if I see it in me, there must be something wrong with me. This is a love story with and for that energy. May each of us learn how to relate to this part of our human nature with curiosity, compassion, and permission. May this energy no longer divide us in our human family.
In March of 2020, I experienced a brain injury as a result of a breath play scene. It took 10 months for my brain to recover full circulation. If there were ever a time to leave the path of kink, it would have likely been then. Yet, kink became even more my spiritual path. Designing my relationship with what occurred is where the healing and agency emerged. In October of 2020, I had a peak erotic experience as my own innocence and destruction had a scene with each other. This is a love story of these two energies. I have been making this film and this film has been making me… more whole, more human, more connected.
I'm honored to co-host this event with Lee Harrington who will be facilitating.

Have fun dressing in the spirit of the event. There will be an opportunity to dance a film reflection, so you may consider that when choosing your clothes!
Note: This film is for adult viewers.
It includes nudity, power exchange, consensual rape fantasy, intense spiritual, erotic, and emotional expression, as well as radical acts of compassion and sexual generosity. This piece was inspired by Z's healing journey from a breath play injury in a consensual kink scene. By attending this event you are consciously consenting to witness and partake in community conversation of this nature. If you have strong emotions or charge around these topics please take care of yourself and do not join us. This container is not designed to provide the therapeutic support for individual participants that we would want you to have. This container is designed to deeply touch, move, and inspire your wholeness and reflection on your personal relationship to innocence and destruction.
