Alyssa Lynes is internationally known as a passionate teacher and dancer. She is also a coach specializing in helping educators become extraordinary, an organizer of the Touch & Play Festivals at Earthdance, MA, and a practioner of Thai Massage. She is interested in how communication and creative expression play out in partner dance forms, intimacy, power dynamics, and in community and personal development. While living in Europe for 7 years Alyssa worked with language teaching, Contact Improvisation, choroegraphy, dance, and performance. She co-directed the first anthropological film to share CI, titled “Five Ways In”. She has taught in many European countries, Israel, India, and most recently again in the US.
Alyssa met Z in 2000, at Sarah Lawrence College and has had the pleasure of being a dear friend, student, and collaborator for the last 17 years. She can honestly say that Z has been one of the top contributers to her learning from the most varied and deep material including topics: movement, the pelvis, sexuality, femininity, communication, S&M, kink, healing, spirit, facilitation, coaching and friendship. Alyssa and Z also worked together in a company based on healing White Privilege through movement. Alyssa is eager and excited to act as assistant within this program and has full confidence that those who arrive to co-create this group will leave more focused and joyful with both feelings of passion and clarity as well as actual steps toward the actualization of their new vision.
