Is Rooted Eros for me?

So you’re interested in Rooted Eros and wondering if it’s the right thing at the right time for you?

Rooted Eros is a healing space however it is not a replacement for therapy and I am not your therapist. I appreciate you taking the time and care to consider if this is aligned for you. Part of your erotic wisdom is choosing the right timing to explore the next level of expansion or risk. Sometimes going slower leads to more expansion.

Here are some questions to reflect on:

  1. What does your current support system for your erotic growth look like? This may include a therapist, friend(s) you share openly with, support groups, partner(s), a coach, or more. If something arises in a Rooted Eros session that wants more attention who might you turn to? If the answer is yes, this might be a good fit. If the answer is no, it might be better to grow your support system and consider joining in the future. This document includes mental health resources. It was curated by Guan Xuan, for THRIVE Conference and is shared with permission.

  2. If you have experienced a traumatic event around your sexuality in the past are you currently at a place where you can name it without charge or high emotion? If the answer is yes, this might be a good fit. If the answer is no, it might be better to work with a therapist or professional healer and consider joining in the future.

  3. When you consider dancing and self pleasuring rituals in a group how much of a stretch does that feel like on a scale of 1 to 10? (1 = easeful and 10 = big stretch) If the answer is 1 to 5 this might be a good fit. If the answer is 6 to 10, it might be better to pause and start with a smaller sweet step toward erotic growth.
